Maia Nikiphoroff

'The first film I took on the road was about a blowjob. I know how it sounds but 'Original Sin' is an absurdist, dark comedy about empowering women through blowjobs among other things.

That film was picked up HBO Max.

We premiered to a full house at Austin Film Festival. I had no idea how people would received it but standing at the back of the theater waiting was electric. As the lights dimmed, the credits rolled and my character spoke her first line I heard laughter break across the room. And it didn't stop there. They laughed throughout the enitre film. I was hooked, ready to do it all over again. Independent filmmaking.'
